We are a dedicated team of students passionate about robotics, STEM education, and making a positive impact in our community as we build for the 2026-2027 BIOBUZZ season.

The Despicable Machine exists to inspire students to explore STEM through hands-on robotics experiences. We believe that building robots is about more than engineering. It is also about learning how to solve problems, work with others, and grow as leaders.
We focus on building strong technical skills, leadership, and teamwork while helping students grow as confident problem-solvers.

GEARS Mentorship Program
One of our biggest focuses is helping new members find their place and build confidence through GEARS, our one-on-one mentorship program. We pair each new member with a veteran teammate who can answer questions, share hands-on FTC experience, and guide them through the skills they need to contribute. Beyond learning design, fabrication, coding, and teamwork, GEARS helps new members feel supported as they grow into confident members and future mentors themselves.
Pairing
Each experienced member is matched with a new member to build a supportive and hands-on learning connection.
Mentorship
New members learn the basics of design, fabrication, coding, and team workflow through direct guidance.
Growth
As members gain confidence, they take on more responsibility and help mentor the next wave of teammates.
